EMERGENCY PLANNING SESSION

Emergencies don’t wait. Are you ready for when a crisis strikes? Prepare for the unexpected. Hear from Arlington and Somerville Housing Authorities on how, with assistance from Mass. Maritime Academy interns, they developed and implemented a comprehensive emergency action plan where they may have been lacking in time constraints, capacity or expertise in crafting the plan. Learn the roles of two emergency management interns as they navigate through field manuals, mechanical operations and building infrastructures and how this partnership between Massachusetts Maritime Academy and local housing authorities have been mutually beneficial. This session offers some of their best practices and insights from blueprints to safety within their respective housing authorities. Registration is free but pre-registration is required.
