On Tuesday, the House of Representatives worked into the late evening debatingsix categories of amendments to the House Ways & Means Budget Recommendation. Several amendments were filed on MassNAHRO's behalf to increase the operating subsidy and resident service coordinators line items. Unfortunately, these amendments were not adopted.
House budget:
7004-9005 Public Housing Subsidy: $15.5M (same as Gov. budget, increase of $2.5M over FY25)
7004-4314 Resident Service Coordinators: $6.5M (same as Gov. budget, level funded to FY25)
The House budget will go to the Senate in a couple of weeks for its consideration. Please watch for Legislative Alerts as we prepare to advocate to the Senate for additional increases.
