As the government shutdown threatens to suspend SNAP (food stamp) benefits on November 1, Computers 4 People (C4P), a national nonprofit dedicated to closing the digital divide, is launching an emergency relief campaign through its internet service brand, Shield Internet. C4P's goal is to ensure that no one is cut off from essential online services like healthcare portals, job applications, banking, and critical news because of internet costs at this difficult time. Starting October 30, SNAP recipients across the United States can get at least one month of free 5G internet by visiting www.computers4people.org/shield, entering the coupon code SNAP, and uploading a photo of their SNAP card. LHA are encouraged to share this info with their residents ASAP! |
