Each year, MassNAHRO awards a Board Member of the Year to honor a current board member, or one who has served within the past 12 months, who has demonstrated excellence in advocating for and developing the financial, political, and community support necessary to ensure the continuation of housing and development programs.

Judging Categories Include:

1.Community Leadership: describe what the candidate has done to persuade the community at-large that it must provide the support and assistance necessary for housing and/or community development programs to continue.

2. Advocacy: describe what the candidate has done to support the importance of housing and community development with local, state, and national officials.

3. Public Relations: describe how the candidate has communicated to various media about the authority’s accomplishments, programs, policies, and future plans.
