2023 Housing Bond Bill

Affordable Homes Act (H4138)

This five-year housing bond bill filed by Governor Healey on October 18 is a comprehensive package of spending, policy, and programmatic actions, the largest investment in Mass. history prioritizing the most vulnerable households.

 

Public Housing Investment - TOTAL: $1.6 BILLION

OUR ASK: The goal is to preserve the Governor's historic proposal of $1.6B for public housing in the final bill.

 

Public Housing Reforms

Policy initiatives and statutory changes that reduce barriers to housing production & preservation, reduce maintenance backlogs, and allow housing authorities to operate more effectively & efficiently.

OUR ASK: The goal is to include in the final bill these policy initiatives and statutory changes that we proposed to the Administration.
